Ambrose Flowers

Ambrose Bryson Flowers, Sr., of Cherryville, passed away on April 29, 2014 at home. He was born June 18, 1929 in Gaston County to the late Gilbert and May Scruggs Flowers.

Ambrose served in the United States Army.

Ambrose was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Payne Flowers; son, Ambrose Bryson Flowers, Jr.; 3 brothers; 4 sisters.

Ambrose is survived by his son, Scott Flowers and wife Kathy of Kings Mountain; daughter, Cindy Beasley and husband Randy of Cherryville; brothers, Grier Flowers, Bill Flowers, Harry Flowers; sister, Lillie Justice; grandchildren, Glenn Scott Flowers, Jr., Chase Beasley, Lee Beasley, Wendy Koutsoupias; 8 great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery, Bessemer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the homes of Scott and Kathy Flowers.
