ANDREA LANIER

Andrea Postell Lanier, 55, of Ocean Isle Beach, passed away on April 9, 2013, at home. She was born December 29, 1957 in Orange, Texas, to Gary D. and Shirley T. Postell of Gastonia.

Andrea was a native of Gastonia, North Carolina, and graduated from Hunter Huss High School in 1976.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Rickie Lanier; sons, Kevin Barnhardt and wife Erica of New Bern, NC, Nicholas Lanier of the home; brother, Douglas Postell and wife Deborah of Gastonia; brother-in-law, Wayne Lanier of Ocean Isle Beach; mother-in-law, Frances Lamb of Blacksburg; step-grandmother, Nancy Postell of Andrews, NC; grandchild, Madisyn Rhae Barnhardt; nephews, Michael Postell, Chris Postell and wife Aundrea all of Gastonia, Clyde King, Josh Lanier, Shannon King, Krystal Goble all of Blackburg, SC.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, the late C.B. and Ella B. Todd, the late William Hayden and Hattie Belle Postell; father-in-law, the late Walter AV Lanier; brother-in-law, Michael Lanier; sister-in-law, Sandra Lanier.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.

Interment will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Chris and Aundrea Postell: the family homestead, 4010 Little Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
