Anna Jean Richard

Anna Jean Richard, 81, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on October 11, 2023. She was born September 29, 1942, in Mitchell County, to the late Tarp Williams Burleson and Hazel Ledford Burleson.

Throughout her life, she brought immense joy and warmth to the lives of her loved ones. She shared a beautiful journey of love and commitment with her devoted husband, Rick, for an astonishing 62 years. Their bond was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to witness it.

But it was as a mother that she truly shined. She was one of a kind and had the extraordinary ability to nurture and guide her son Ricky through life's ups and downs.  And as a grandmother, she embraced the role of Gigi with open arms, showering her grandchildren with boundless affection and leaving an indelible imprint on their hearts.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Ricky Eugene Richard, Sr.; son, Ricky Richard (Leann); sister, Sue Palmer; grandchildren Jacob Richard, Lyndsay Richard; a special thank you to Gaston Hospice.

Jean's memorial service will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Waypoint Dallas Wesleyan Church, 217 South College St., Dallas, NC 28034, with Pastor Tim Smith officiating.
