Aydan Cole Shaw

Aydan Cole Shaw, 18, of Gastonia, passed away at home on May 29, 2024. He was born June 26, 2005, in Gaston County, to Steven Jerome Shaw and April Nicole Roper. 

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shelia Surratt Shaw, and Linda Huffstetler; also a number of aunts and uncles. 

Aydan was a very loving person. He was an avid reader, and he was always reading something. He was an enthusiast of firearms and he wanted to be a gun smith. Aydan enjoyed listening to music. He adored his sister, and he would always put her first. 

Left to cherish his memories are his parents; grandparents who raised him, Susan Lovelace (Curt) “paw-paw”; grandpa, Junie Shaw; great-grandpa, James Huffstetler; great-grandparents, John and Irene Quail; great-grandfather Larry Lovelace; brother, Camden Henderson; sister, Zoey Armstrong; cousins, Ivy Shaw, Noah Shaw, Ryleigh Henley, Hunter Huffstetler, Alex Huffstetler, and Abbi Huffstetler; uncle, Randy Shaw, Craig Huffstetler (Susan); aunts, Tasha Shaw, and Elizabeth Roper.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Sunset Forest Baptist Church, 903 Hickory Grove Rd., Gastonia, on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Aydan’s Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Hicks officiating.

Inurnment will be with the family.
