Bertha Holden

Bertha Lee Moore Holden, 91, of Gastonia passed away on September 20, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born December 25, 1921 in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Dixon Richard and Anna Bell Moore.

She was a faithful member of Dallas Church of God.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Keith Holden, Henry Jerry Holden both of Gastonia; daughters, Julie Baker of Dallas, Micky Ertzberger, Donnie Helms both of Gastonia; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Monroe Holden; son, Walter Jimmy Holden, Sr.; siblings, Junior, Wilbert, Roy, Annie Mae and Rose; grandson, Rick Baker, great-grandchild, Chris Baker.

Her funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Dallas Church of God with Rev. Danny Shortridge, Rev. Tim Chambers officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Shelby.

Her family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday at the church and other times at the daughter's home, 404 Pinkney Road, Dallas.
