Betty Huelter

Matthews, North Carolina

Betty Morgan Huelter of Matthews, 75, passed away January 23, 2015, at Legacy Heights Senior Assisted Living in Charlotte surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1939 in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Morgan. Betty graduated from Bessemer City High School, attended Cleveland Community Collage and retired from Dillard's.

Mrs. Huelter was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Huelter. Betty is survived by her children, Sharon Commanda of Bessemer City, her son Donnie Moore of Gaffney, SC and Judy Johnston and husband Kit, of Matthews. She had six grandchildren, Shawn Commanda of Bessemer City, Stacy and Jacinda Moore of Gaffney, SC, Zachary, Zeb and Zena Johnston of Matthews, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived one brother Lewis Morgan and wife Beverly of Virginia and her nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of Matthews Church of God, Matthews, prior to moving to the assisted Living. She was devoted to the Lord and her family. The family expresses tremendous gratitude to the wonderful staff at Legacy Heights for their kindness and loving care.

All will miss her loving and caring presence.

The family will receive friends at Sisk Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City, NC January 25 from 5-7 PM and burial services will be held at the Sisk Butler Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on January 26th with the Bishop Rick Brackett officiating.
