Betty Parnell

Betty Sue Cloer Parnell, 84, of Dallas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2014 at Brian Center Health and Retirement Nursing Home, Lincolnton. She was born August 3, 1929 in Gaston County, NC, to the late Rev. M. G. Cloer and Emma Ross Cloer.

Betty was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church in Dallas.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy Parnell of Dallas, Rick Parnell and wife Donna of Gastonia; sisters, Rachel Little and husband Blair of Lillington, NC, Ruth Anderson of Alexis; brother, Bill Cloer and wife Joan of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Chris Parnell, Briana Dees, Cody Crenshaw, & Tracy Whitley. Great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Myla Parnell, Sawyer Owens, Isabel and Ilyssa Dees, & Stacie Whitley

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Colie Glenn Parnell; son, Larry Parnell; step- son, Bob Parnell; brother, Mike Cloer.

Her funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church, Dallas with Rev. Ralph Carver and Rev. Blair Little officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church.
