Betty Thornburg Pasour, 86, of Bessemer City, passed away on November 5, 2015 at home. She was born on February 19, 1929 in Gaston County, to the late Herman S. and Desirie Taylor Thornburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Thornburg and daughter-in-law, Maxine Pasour.

Betty was a longtime member of Antioch Lutheran Church in Dallas. She was secretary and bookkeeper at Hager Machine, Mundy Machine and Farris Machine and she did not retire until age 83. Betty loved gardening and, going to Lake Norman and the North Carolina Mountains. She loved her family and friends. Betty never met a stranger and she will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her longtime companion, Ted Harris; sons, John Pasour and wife Debbie, Daniel Pasour; grandsons, Eric Pasour and wife Emily, Brian Pasour and Carla, Billy Pasour and wife Katie; granddaughter, Elizabeth Jones and husband Dave; step-grandson, Jace Harvill; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rose Pasour; great-grandson, Mikey Jones; sister, Lou Howell and husband Hugh; a number of nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Antioch Lutheran Church, Dallas, with Pastor George Rhyne officiating.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Garden of Peace Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to -8:00 pm Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.
