Betty Rabb

Betty Sue Glenn Rabb, 85, of Bessemer City passed away on October 21, 2013 at home. She was born September 19, 1928 in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Oscar Ernest and Zoe Kiser Glenn.

Betty was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia where she was a former chairperson of the Ruth Gibson Women's Circle. She was a dietary supervisor for Meadowbrook Manor in Gastonia and Cherryville. Betty was a foster parent for 7 years in Gaston County and volunteered for Gaston Hospice for 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Rabb; brother, Ernest Glenn; sister, Nancy Waters; grandchildren, Lori Tate and husband Jason, Benji Snipes and wife Michelle Phifer Snipes, Dylan Rabb; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Tate, Emma Grace Tate, Will Tate, Colby Snipes; son-in law, David Snipes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Rabb; daughter, Sandra Rabb Snipes; son, Dennis Rabb; grandson, Jamey Rabb; sisters, Annie Lou Glenn, Sarah Nichols, Margie Fowler; brother, Oscar Junior Glenn .

Her funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Timothy Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.

Her family will receive friends one hour before the service.
