Beverly June Rowland

Beverly June "Bev" Rowland, 74, of Bessemer City passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Atrium Main, Charlotte. She was born on June 24, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Leroy Howard Fifield and Letha LaJune Wakeland.

Beverly worked 35 years for Raytheon Technologies as an electronics inspector. She loved her work and the people there, finding time to play on her company softball team for many years. She owned an ice cream shop in Redington Beach, FL where she met her future husband, Keith, who was vacationing from England with friends.

She loved the outdoors, tending to her garden and constantly beautifying her landscaping. She loved dogs and spent much of her time finding homes for the many she rescued. Above all she was a people person, she loved to interact with anybody and everybody she met. To know Bev was to have a friend for life.

Left to cherish her memories include her husband of 34 years, Keith Rowland; son, Jason Gillman; daughter-in-law, Jackie Bayne-Gillman; sisters, Linda McGowan, Lana Bednarowic; and fur babies, Lillie and Katie.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
