Bill Plyler

Bill Ruffin Plyler, 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday September 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 5, 1930 in Guilford County to the late Alfred Boyd and Ena Lanier Plyler.

Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of Berea Baptist Church, and was retired from Hoechst Celanese Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Dianne Friday Plyler; children Beverly Plyler Simmons Williams, Jeffrey Scott Plyler, Philip Carter Plyler wife Peggy and Paul McKee Plyler; step-daughters Kim Russell and husband Fred, Teresa Pigg and husband Eddie, and Tonya Wallis and husband Doug; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren

A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 4 pm Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Celebrant Teresa Pigg officiating.

His family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 pm prior to his service at the funeral home.
