Billy Shuford

Billy Worth Shuford, 87, passed away on Friday July 20, 2018 while at Courtland Terrace, Gastonia. He was born on June 5, 1931 in Gaston County to the late Frank and Effie Guffey Shuford.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Helga Maria Barr Shuford; brothers Horace Shuford, James Shuford, Plato Shuford, Frank Shuford, Jr.; sisters Margaret Shuford, Kathern McClellan, Betty Broome; granddaughter Tamara Nichole Shuford.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter Sherry Malac of Bessemer City, sons Jeffrey Shuford and wife Ann of Bessemer City, Emil Shuford of Blacksburg, SC, Peter Shuford of Bessemer City; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, to celebrate Billy's life, will be held at 11 am Monday, July 23, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Father Lucas Rossi officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

Billy's family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 pm Monday, July 23, 2018 prior to the service at the funeral home.
