Bobbie Maney

Bobbie Jo Wehunt Maney, 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 3, 2018 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain. She was born September 16, 1939 in Lincoln County to the late Raymond Scott and Lona Houser Wehunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Dale Maney; brothers,
Rayford Wehunt, Scott Wehunt and Clyde Wehunt; and sister, Evelene Wehunt Hoyle.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, Robert Dempsey Maney of Kings Mountain; sons, Pastor Jimmy and Kathy Maney of Kings Mountain, Robbie Maney of Gastonia, Robert Kirk Black, Jr. of Charlotte; daughters, Vicky and Jay Register of Louisa, VA, Phyllis Black Jeter of Kings Mountain, Sandra and Cheryl Black Marullo of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Ponzie Black, Joey Buckner, Michelle Marullo Peeler, Arden Maney Darnell, Jordan Maney, Justin Black, Tiffany Black, Danielle Williams, Brittney Curtis; great-grandchildren, Payton, Savannah, Abigail and Lawrence; sister, Lattie Wehunt Bingham of Lawndale, NC.

Bobbie was a devoted member of 8th Street Church of God in Bessemer City. She was an avid reader and loved quilting, ceramics, and flowers. She was a charter, 30-year member of TOPS
Club of Gastonia. Bobbie treasured her teapot and cookie jar collections. She was named Mother of the Year in 1996 and was awarded a cruise. Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Bobbie's life will be held at 3pm Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Pendleton, Rev. Jimmy Maney, and Rev. Tim Barrett officiating.

Interment will follow at North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherryville.

Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
