Bobby Humphries

Bobby Lee Humphries, 77, of Gastonia, passed away on December 20, 2014, at Belaire Health Care Center, Gastonia. He was born August 22, 1937 in Gaston County to the late Hubert H. and Julia Davis Humphries.

He was a member of the National Guard, retired from construction, and attended Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Nell Humphries and brother L. T. Humphries.

Bobby is survived by his wife Reba Humphries; sons Tony Lee Humphries and wife Sandy of Gastonia and Steve Dwight Humphries and wife Crystal of Gastonia; daughters Patricia Humphries Haas and husband Eddie of Cherryville and Bobbie Denise Cole and husband Mike of Cherryville; sister Elease Bowers of Winnsboro, SC; grandchildren Julie Hyder, Artie Haas, Amie Rebecca Cole, Jessica Diane Bright, Tonia Lynn Biddix, Joshua Humphries, Johnathan Humphries, and Jacob Humphries; great-grandchildren Zachary Hyder, Carson Hyder, Garrett Haas, Gavin Haas, Tony Bright, Katelyn Biddix, and Emily Biddix.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.
