Bobby Smith

Bobby Gene Smith, 82, of Gastonia, passed away on September 10, 2021, at Peak Resources. He was born October 28, 1938, in Gaston County to the late James “Walt” Smith and Dovie Stinnette Dover.

He was preceded in death by children, Sandra Roiner and Steven Smith; sister, Maxine Clark; brothers, Roger Gee, James Smith, Roy Smith.

Bobby was of Baptist faith, loved his family and enjoyed NASCAR racing and the girls fast pitch softball.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Bobby Smith, Jr., Shawn Smith; grandchildren, Daniel Roiner, Stephen Smith; sisters, Kay Dobbins, Brenda Carpenter, Desi LaCount; and brother, Gary Smith.

Bobby’s graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Scott Rudisill officiating.
