Bobby James Tate

Bobby James “Bob” Tate, 88, of Kings Mountain, passed away at Wendover Hospice House on April 10, 2023. He was born June 21, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Floyd James Tate and Flora Morgan Tate.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorine Wilson Tate; son, Steve Conley Rowland; sister, Mary Mitchem

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janice Putnam; son, Jimmy Tate; stepsons, Robbie Putnam, Andy Putnam; numerus nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Bob’s memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Maylo United Methodist Church with Rev Mark Etchinson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Memorials can be made to Maylo United Methodist Church or to Wendover Hospice House, Shelby, NC.
