Bonnie Lou McGee

Bonnie Lucille Wyatt McGee, 84, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on May 22, 2024. She was born June 11, 1939, in Haywood County, NC, to the late Andy Sanford Wyatt and Ellen Alverta Jenkins Wyatt. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Ray McGee; daughter, Cynthia Lynn McGee; bonus mom, Sallie Wyatt; sister, Patsy Wyatt; brothers, Bill Wyatt, Jimmy Wyatt, Randy Wyatt. 

Bonnie would love to tell people that she was left-handed. She enjoyed feeding the birds and loved animals, especially cats. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and she loved to watch Columbo. Bonnie loved traveling through the Blue Ridge Parkway. She was raised by her grandparents, Hiriam Elbert and Rozilla Mary Jane Shelton Wyatt. She had the ability to always remember dates for anniversaries, birthdates, and even other random memories. Her memory will forever be in our hearts. 

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Kevin Darrell McGee, Andy Thomas McGee (Kimi); sisters, Donna Beaty (Jack), Janet Horne (Keith), and Judy Summey; along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Interment will be a private service.
