BRENDA BESS ROBERTS

Brenda Bess Roberts, 71, of Bessemer City, passed away on January 26, 2015, at Covenant Village, Gastonia. She was born June 24, 1943 in Gaston County to the late Guy Cheve and Ara Blalock Marshall.

Brenda was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City. She was the secretary for Plastics Products for nearly 40 years before retiring. Brenda loved her family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ted Bess and Ronnie Roberts; sister, Pauline Cole; brothers, Hoey Marshall and Bobby Gene Marshall.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Bess and wife Cindy, Donnie Bess and wife Tina; daughters, Teresa Boone and husband Bobby, Vickie Absher and husband Bruce; sisters, Faye Spencer and Betty Austin; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Dick Whitener officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
