Calvin Teague

Calvin Frank Teague, 78, of Gastonia, passed away on March 20, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem. He was born March 19, 1936 in Gaston County, NC, to the late Otis and Nancy Humphries Teague.

Calvin was retired from Textiles and was a member of Living Word Tabernacle, Gastonia. He enjoyed hunting and raising game chickens.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nettie Henderson Teague; daughters Donna Adams and husband Timothy of Bessemer City and Julie Stiles and husband William of Smyre; brother RC Teague of Gastonia; Sister Mearle Hartz of Gastonia; grandchildren Paul, Haven, Taylor and William, Jr.; great-grandchildren Gage, Andrew, Alayna, and Raven. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Austin, Ernest, Gene, Ralph, and sister Ellen Teague.

His funeral services will be held at the chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services at 3:00 PM on Sunday with Revs. Tim Humes officiating and comments by Rev. John Gilreath.

Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Church Cemetery.

Prior to his service, the family will receive friends from 1 PM till 3 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.
