Carl Carpenter

Carl Everette Carpenter, 91, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was born October 28, 1929 in Gaston County to the late Everette Roosevelt Carpenter and Bessie Wilson Carpenter.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Virginia “Jenny” Bates Carpenter; sons, Danny Carpenter; Gary Carpenter; daughter, Amelia Carpenter Brooks; stepson, Michael Blackwood; sister, Evy-lou Coleman; brothers, Kenneth Carpenter and Melvin Carpenter.

Left to cherish his memories are his grandchildren, Daniel Carpenter, Sandra Engbarth, Kimberly Dubec, Barbie Carpenter, Kammie Bryson; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephew, Cathy Carpenter, Janet Hensley, and Keith Carpenter.

Carl will lie in state from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Mr. Carpenter’s graveside service will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Gaston Memorial Park with Dr. Kent Cranford and Rev. Ronnie Dale officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holland Memorial Baptist Church, 123 Holland Memorial Church Rd, Bessemer City, North Carolina 28016
