Carroll Clark

Surrounded by his loving family, Carroll Atlas Clark, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2015. He was born January 1, 1940, in Caldwell County, to the late Corlan Atlas and Toye Chester Clark. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Berry, sisters, Barbara Gobel, Shirley Clark.
Carroll was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hudson. He was happily retired and spent his days fishing, camping, boating, and riding his bicycle on the beach. He was a wonderful father and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those he left behind include his son, Rick Clark and wife Nancy of Clover, SC; his daughters, Kathy Johnson and husband Rance of Statesville, Ginger Clark and Michael Knapp of Charlotte, and Jessica Oakes of Boone; brother, Larry Clark and wife Joanne of Hudson; sisters, Geraldine Hussing and Judy Austin both of Hudson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and Buffy, his best friend and constant companion.
Carroll's funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hudson with Rev. Clyde Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
His family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 PM Friday at the church before the funeral.
