Catherine Huntsinger

Catherine Tate Huntsinger, 83, of Bessemer City, passed away August 24, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice House, Kings Mountain. She was born on March 28, 1930 in Gaston County to the late Zoll Clarence and Minnie Frances Holland Tate.

Catherine was a loving wife, mother and granny.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George Arnold Huntsinger; sons, Sonny Huntsinger and Naomi of Kings Mountain, Mike Huntsinger of South Carolina, daughters, Vickie Riddle and Ronnie of Lincolnton, Reta Blanton and Jerry of North Myrtle Beach, Grandchildren, Kelly Thornburg, Todd Thornburg, Meredith Harris, Mandy LeBlanc, Jessie Riddle, Marty Jones, Sonny Huntsinger Jr., Laura Huntsinger, Starr Huntsinger, Tiffany Huntsinger, Cristian Huntsinger, Amy Huntsinger, Cassie Huntsinger, Paul Huntsinger, Brooke, she also has 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 3 sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 6pm Tuesday August 27 at Ragan Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City.

Her family will receive friends from 4:30 - 5:30 prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Kings Mountain Hospice House, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150
