Charles Black

Charles Houston Black, 71, of Bessemer City passed away on Saturday December 10, 2016 at Courtland Terrace, Gastonia. He was born on July 25, 1945 in Gaston County, to the late Earl Jasper and Mae Martin Black.

Charles enjoyed fishing and was a jack of all trades.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Carolyn Jean Dugan Black and daughter, Cynthia Lynn Black.

Left to cherish his memories are his grandson, Charles Clifford Allen of the home; nephew Doug Ballard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City with the Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
