Charles Neelands

Charles "Frog" Marvin Neelands, 68, of Kings Mountain, passed away on January 28, 2015, at Kings Mountain Hospice. He was born June 20, 1946 in York County, SC to the late Clarence and Cornelia Martin Neelands.

Charles was a member of Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church in Dallas. He was a truck driver.

Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Neelands, daughter, Dee Dee Elmore and husband Jerry; daughter-in- law, Janice Mashburn; niece, Suzanne Neelands.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hord Neelands; sons, Johnny Neelands of Clover, SC, Randy Mashburn of Bessemer City; daughters, Debbie Simons and husband Mike of Clover, SC, Lynn Summitt and husband Dale of Gastonia, Renee Postell of Clover, SC; brother Roy Neelands and wife Helen of York SC; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church, Dallas with Rev. Rev. Sherman Branch officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC.

Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
