Christine Branch

Christine "Pete" Cole Branch, 88, of Bessemer City, died October 12, 2012, at Kings Mountain Hospital.  She was born April 23, 1924 in Alabama to the late Edgar Sloan and Daisy Harrison Cole.



"Pete" was a Member of First Baptist Church, Bessemer City and was retired From Firestone.

She was a loving wife, mother, "Momma Pete" and "Granny" to all that knew and loved her, and will live forever in their hearts.



She is survived by husband Dewitt Branch of 71 years; children Buddy Eugene Branch and wife Wanda of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jean Branch Conner of Bessemer City, and Randy Dewitt Branch and wife Gilda of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister Rebecca "Honey" Cole of Myrtle Beach; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Edgar "Buck" Cole; sisters Hazel Thornburg Caldwell and Barbara "Bebe" Scates.



Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.



The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
