SID  BINGHAM



Cicero Lafayette "Sid" Bingham, 67, of Lincolnton, died October 29, 2012, at Carolina's Medical Center, Charlotte.  He was born July 17, 1945 in Gaston County to the late Barto Lafayette Bingham and the late Lillie Kirkland Holt.



Sid was the Fire Chief of Dallas Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was retired from Concrete Supply Company. He was of the Baptist faith. Sid always helped family members who were in need.  He was a good man and he will be greatly missed.



He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ella Mae Hester Bingham; sons, Tim Bingham, Bobby Summey; brothers, William Holt, Junior Holt; sisters, Martha Friday, Patricia Harper, Molly Rumfelt; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.



Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City with Rev. Jim Friday officiating.



Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.



The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
