Claudine Drawdy

Claudine Rebecca Yates Drawdy, 77, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully on Friday May 15, 2015 at home. She was born in Guilford County, NC, on August 27, 1937 to the late Claude C. Yates and Lilly May Lewis Yates Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward Drawdy, Sr. and grandsons, Kenneth Joel Hall and Cody James Horne.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jordan, Janice Horne, Sandra Drawdy, Brenda Drawdy, Debra Thomas, Lois Hall, Joyce Ann Barrett; sons, Michael Wayne Drawdy, Danny Ray Drawdy, Frank Edward Drawdy, Jr.; three sisters; 50+ grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Claudine attended Firestone Wesleyan Church. She retired from Carolina Mills after 35 years of service. She also volunteered at Gastonia Street Ministries for many years. Her family wishes to thank Gaston Hospice, Interim Home Care and East Coast Home Care for their heartfelt assistance.

Claudines's family will receive friends Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm at Firestone Wesleyan Church in Gastonia.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Roger Parsons and the Rev. Wayne Spear officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City..
