Collie Ann Capps Bridges, 72, of Bessemer City, passed away September 4, 2013 at Robin Johnson House. She was born in Gaston County on March 24, 1941 to the late R.B. and Evelyn Neal Capps.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandson Scottie Bridges.

Collie is survived by her sons: James Bridges Jr. and wife Christine of Bessemer City, Jeff Bridges and wife Sarah of Cherryville, daughters: Mary-Ann Bridges of Bessemer City, Michelle Bridges-Taylor of Cherryville, Brothers: Jackie Capps and wife Glenda of Bessemer City, Horace Capps of Clover, Grandchildren: Robbie Bridges, Heather Canipe, Ryan Bridges, Christopher Bridges, Cody Bridges and Brad Henson; 4 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Collie Bridges will be held 4:00 pm Friday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Revs. Larry Shope and Robin Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Holy Angels, Inc. 6600 Wilkinson Blvd. P.O. Box 710 Belmont, NC 28012 or to Gaston Hospice PO Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.
