He is proceeded in death by his brothers, James Dixon, Jr., Charles Dixon, Lee Dixon, and Alvin Dixon; sisters, Betty Hayes, Judy Boling, and Irene Franklin.

Thomas was retired from the United States Navy.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nora Dixon; children, Kevin Scott Dixon (Donna), Melanie Ruth Rhodes (Michael), and Thomas Sean Dixon (Stacy); step children, Juan Muneton, Yesid Muneton, and Andres Muneton; sisters, Barbara Morra, and Jeanette Grant; grandchildren, Kimberly Whiteside, Ashley Davis, Michael Rhodes, Brenda Rhodes, Henry Rhinehart, Alyssa Dixon, Sara-Kate Dixon, Alex Dixon, Chaz Dixon, Lili Dixon, Emelia Muneton, and Raquel Muneton; great-grandchildren, Kyle Davis, and Hunter Rhinehart.
