Cora Smith

Cora Grigg Smith, 88, of Bessemer City passed away on November 20, 2013 at the Alexandria Place. She was born October 24, 1925 in Gaston County, NC, to the late David Weaver and Fanny Wineberger Grigg.

Cora worked at JP Stevens for 38 years.

She is survived by her son, Gary Smith and wife Becky of Bessemer City; daughter Eula "Tootsie" Crowe and husband Danny of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Russell Crowe and wife Aleta, Deborah C. Routhier, Dawn Rickus and husband Derek, Karen Bolick and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren Devin Rickus, Bailey and Blake Crowe, Madelyn and Meredith Bolick, Lauren Routhier.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Lloyd Smith; brothers David and J.W. Grigg; sister Eula Perkins.

Her funeral services will be held at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel at 11:00 AM Saturday with Rev. Ronnie Pressley officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Cora's family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
