Daniel Berry

Daniel "Danny" Berry, 58, of Long Creek Road, passed away June 17, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center of Charlotte. He was born in Gaston County on July 7, 1957 to Robert David Berry, Sr. and Sarah Joan Penner Berry of Kings Mountain.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Berry and his brother, Mark Berry.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Jonathan Berry (Liz) of Kings Mountain and Michael Berry of Savannah, GA.; his brother, David Berry, Jr. (Cheryl) of Kings Mountain; nieces Heather Sullens (Tim) with daughter Emily, and Katie Mitchem (Kyle) both of Kings Mountain; niece Rebecca Philbeck (William) with son Charlie of Polkville, NC; niece Christina Thomas (Kris) with children A.J., Zach, Maks, and Charlotte of Lillington, NC; and nephew Matthew Berry of Kings Mountain.

Danny enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman, including the opportunity to compete in and win several fishing tournaments. Danny also loved refurbishing antique tractors as a favorite hobby. He leaves a legacy of his love for life and others.

His funeral service will be held at 3pm Monday June 20, 2016 at Long Creek Presbyterian Church with Dr. Charles Davenport officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
