Danny Metcalfe

Danny Keith Metcalfe, 64, of Bessemer City passed away September 23, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born July 3, 1950 in Gaston County, to the late Robert Leon Metcalfe, Sr. and Elsie Young Metcalfe.

Danny loved running, Notre Dame football and his "child" cat Jack. The family wishes a special thanks to the staff at Brian Center for their care and to Tom Kelso for being such a good friend to Danny.

Danny is survived by his wife, Dale Glenn; daughter, Traci Tedder and husband Jonathan; brother, Robert L. Metcalfe, Jr. and wife Diane; nephews, Bryan Metcalfe, Clay Metcalfe and Judy; great-niece, Megan Metcalfe.

His memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday September 25, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Carter Ellis and Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
