Danny Strader, Sr.

Danny Allen Strader, Sr., 69, passed away at Atrium Health of Shelby on Saturday December 22, 2018. He was born May 14, 1949 in Gaston County to the late Fred Allen Strader and the late Lillian Maier Moore

Danny was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Barbara Savage Strader.

He was a member of Gaston Lodge #263 AF & AM in Dallas, NC. He was a very special man who loved his family and friends. He was retired from Duke Energy.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Loyce Conner Strader; his son, Danny Strader, Jr. and wife Angel; daughters, Wendy Parker and husband Ernest Parker Jr., Melissa McGinnis and husband Michael; stepdaughter Kim Sisk and husband Luke; brother Larry Strader and wife Vadine; ten grandchildren, Joshua Strader, Morgan Ray, Lauren Green and Makenzie Strader, Justin Parker and Allison Brooks, Hunter McGinnis, and Skyler, Peyton, Tanner Sisk; four great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday December 28, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Travis Mull officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia with Masonic Rites by Gaston Lodge 263.
