David Blaylock

David Lamar Blaylock, 71, of Dallas, passed away on August 18, 2015 at Courtland Terrace in Gastonia. He was born on September 27, 1943 in Gaston County to the late Samuel Luther and Anna Bell Phillips Blaylock.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Peggy Grainger Blaylock, brothers, Charles Blaylock and Jerry Blaylock.

David retired from America and Efird Threads Plant after 25 years and formerly attended Ragan Wesleyan Church of Gastonia.

He is survived by brother, Samuel L. Blaylock of Elgin, SC; mother-in-law, Clara Iree Grainger of Green Sea, SC; sisters-in-law, Faye Poston of Dallas, NC, Pat Norris and husband Tommy of Thomasville, Sylvia Hughes and husband Carlton of Middlesex, NC, and Leona Blaylock of Sumter, SC; brother-in-law, Larry Grainger of Green Sea, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
