David Bush

David Bush, 66, of Gaston County, passed away at CaroMont Regional on July 8, 2022. He was born February 14, 1956, in Gaston County, to the late Joseph Bush and Ila Petty Bush.

David is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Bush and wife Sue.

He enjoyed riding on his motorcycle with his ponytail flying in the wind, floating around in the swimming pool or on the lake, camping in the outdoors, he loved all things John Wayne and westerns, and above all spending time with his family and loved ones. He knew how to brighten anyone's day whether it was with his contagious smile, goofy dance moves in the car, or random bursts into the Daniel Boone or scooby-doo theme songs. David loved to just get up and go and now may he walk alongside his loved ones in heaven. He was a beloved friend, cousin, nephew, uncle, son, brother, pawpaw, and dad.

Left to cherish his memories are sons, Tim Bush (Tonya), Kenny Bush, and Charlie Caldwell; daughter Heather Helton; grandchildren, Destiny Bush, Danielle Bush, Tim Bush Jr, Pam-Marie Bush, Brittany Bush, Breanna Bush, Lil Kenny Bush, Blake Aiken; great-grandchildren, Kinley Hall, Waylon Hall, Emarie Toller, Addy Bush; niece, Deborah Bush Woodey; nephews, Danny Bush, and Michael Bush

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

David’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
