DEANN PENNELL

Helen DeAnn "Dee Dee" Grant Pennell. 46, of Bessemer City, passed away on November 9, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born on July 25, 1969 in Cleveland County, to Paula Denise Stewart Grant and the late Gary Alonzo Grant.

Dee Dee was a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church in Cherryville. She was a giving, humble, loving person and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by grandmothers, Kathleen Wells, and Sarah Grant; grandfathers, Bill Stewart, Blaine Grant, and Bill Price.

Dee Dee is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry Wayne Pennell; mother, Paula Stewart Grant; step father Terry Barnard Hooper; sisters, Angela Grant Hoffman and husband Samuel, Ashley Davis; brothers, Terry Hooper and wife Amanda, Jerry Hooper, Justin Hooper, Anthony Moore and wife Nicole, Marcus Cavazos and wife Rebecca; grandmother, Helen Price; nieces, Cheyenne Hoffman, Trinity Hooper; nephews, Terry Hooper, Jr. and Liam Hoffman.

Her service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Kenneth Queen officiating.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
