Delma Buchanan

Delma Farmer Buchanan, 70, of Bessemer City, passed away on October 13, 2013 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born August 5, 1943 in Gaston County, to the late Thomas Pralo and Viola Deas Farmer.

Delma loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved reading, flowers and cross stitching.

She is survived by her son, Rusty Propes and wife Crystal of Bessemer City, daughter, Candy Propes of Gastonia; brother, Dean Farmer of Deland, Florida; sisters, Helen Heffner of Alabama, Lucille Stines, Beverly McDonald, Frances McCarthy, Audrey Griggs all of Gastonia; grandchildren, Chad Williams and wife Heather, Misty Woodall, Jay Woodall and wife Brandy, Tyler Propes; great-grandchildren, Destiny Williams, Trey Woodall, Hunter Woodall, Kira Woodall

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kirby Buchanan, sisters, Ricky Farmer, Martha Horner; brother, Tommy Farmer.

Delma's funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev.Sam Barnette officiating.

Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC.

Her family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
