Diane Farmer

Diane Winters Farmer, 72, of Bessemer City, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at home. Born July 20, 1943 to the late Yvonne Harmon Melton, Diane was a woman of faith who loved her family, her cats, and Elvis.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 52 years, Richard Farmer, Sr; sons, Richard Farmer, Jr and wife Cindy of Lake Wylie; Rodney Farmer and wife Shannon of Key Largo, Fla; grandchildren, Heather, Jackson and Sophia; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh.

Her funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday April 2, 2016 at First Wesleyan Church of Bessemer City with the Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

The Family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45pm prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte in recognition of their compassionate care for Diane.
