DICKEY HANNAH
Dickey Hannah, 87, of Gastonia, passed away on October 30, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born in Polk County, NC on December 10, 1926 to the late Elbert and Cecil Splawn Hannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Browning, Bobby Hannah; sisters Billie Eller and Louise Huffman; brother-in-law Bobby Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Vivian Chase Hannah; children, Dickey Hannah and wife Shauna of Gastonia, Sheila Foster and husband Fred of Gastonia, Barbara Parker of Gastonia, Deborah Stover of Bessemer City, Gail Anthony and husband Rick of Gastonia, Wayne Clukey and wife Roxanne of Kings Mountain, Claude Clukey and fiancé Lisa of Gastonia, Gregory Fullbright and wife Denise of Rome, Georgia, Richard Fullbright of Atlanta, Georgia; brother James Howell and wife Kathaleen of Gastonia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 1:30 - 2:45 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the church and other times at the home.
Dickey's funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Sunset Lane Baptist Church, Bessemer City with the Rev. Dickey Hannah officiating.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with military rites by the Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard.
