Dora Deweese

Dora Elizabeth Monkus Deweese, 90, of Dallas, passed away on June 10, 2014 at Carolina Care Center, Cherryville. She was born September 9, 1923 in Hayesville, NC, to the late William Harrison and Eve Betsy Buchanan Monkus.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Deweese and wife Kay of Bessemer City, Ronnie Deweese; daughter, Pollie Patterson and husband Bob of Hayesville, NC; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Friday, June 13, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.

Her family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
