Doricia Ann Holland

Doricia Ann Hopper Holland, 96, of Gastonia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, late Friday, November 8, 2024. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was born November 19, 1927, daughter of the late R. Curtis and Mamie Rhyne Hopper. Doricia was of the Wesleyan faith and served faithfully at many churches with her talent of playing the organ. She was always available to play the organ at many funerals when she was called on to do so. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Deitz “JD” Holland, two brothers, Donald Hopper and Jerry Hopper, and one granddaughter, Leslie Barrientos.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, John C. Holland of Fort Lawn, SC and Gary C. Holland (Tracy) of Gastonia, NC; two granddaughters, Kristin Patterson and Alicia Lutz; one sister-in-law, Sandy Hopper; and six great grandchildren.

There will be a simple graveside service, but it will be private for immediate family only.
