Douglas Leo "Doug" Brothers, 69, of Bessemer City, passed away August 10, 2014 at home. He was born on March 30, 1945 in Caldwell County, to the late Leo Joseph Brothers and Evelyn Brothers Graham.
Doug was the former owner and operator of Linwood Beauty Salon and he also worked at many other salons. The family wishes to thank Doug's devoted caregivers at Fresenius Lab in Kings Mountain and Sarah with Health and Home.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Barrett Ellis; brother, Thomas Wade Brothers.
He is survived by his aunt, Barbara Isenhour and husband Roger of Bessemer City; sister-in-law, Cathy Brothers; grandparents, Wade and Mattie Lou Fowler.
His memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City with Rev. Wes Brown officiating.
