Earl Mcmillan

Earl William McMillan, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Monday September 24, 2018. He was born March 14, 1937 in Gaston County to the late Arthur and Lassie Buchanan McMillan.

Earl was retired from Firestone after 41 years and was a United States Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his two grandsons, Joel Childers, and Michael Crumbley and brother, Henry McMillan.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Frye McMillan; children, Earl William McMillan, Jr; Teresa McMillan Nicks and husband Ed, Michelle McMillan, and Wesley Chandler all of Gastonia; and one grandson, Fred "Trey" Green, III

A Celebration of Earl's life will be held at 3pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel, Bessemer City with Rev. D.R. Shortridge officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens with military honors given by United States Army.

His family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
