Edna Hensley

Edna Smith Hensley, 91, of Hardin, NC, passed away on October 6, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lincolnton. She was born October 10, 1921 in Gaston County, NC, to the late Spurgeon Brantley and Texie Pruitt Smith.

Edna was a member of Hardin Community Baptist Church, Dallas NC and a homemaker.

She is survived by her son Danny Hensley and wife Linda of Lincolnton; grandchildren Jeff Wilson, Marcia Lawing, Eric Hensley and Chad Hensley; four great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-granchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Hensley and daughter Doris Hensley Allen

Edna's funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City, NC with Rev. Clay Ledford officiating.

Interment will follow in the David Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Bessemer City, North Carolina.
