ELMER  WEAVER



Elmer  Herbert Weaver, 71, of Gastonia, passed away on January 16, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.  He was born July 12, 1941 in Cherokee County, to the late Gertrude Simonds Weaver.



He was of the Baptist faith and he  retired from Parker -D  Fence Company after many years.



He is survived by his sister, Pauline Dockery and husband Lakes of Gastonia; brother, Arvel Weaver and wife Lexie of Dalton, Ga., numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his brothers, Luther Weaver, Ernest Weaver, Vester Weaver; sisters, Irene Johnson, Aline Cox.



Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City with Rev. Earl Stanly officiating.



Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.



The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
