Esther Reep

Esther Hastings Reep, 78, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on February 24, 2015 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born on April 29, 1936 in Gaston County to the late Roland and Elsie Walker Hastings.

Esther was a member of First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. She was part-owner of Alfredo's in Hickory and formerly employed with Joel Togs in Gastonia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Franklin Murray, Jr. and Alfred Lester Reep; brother, R. S. Hastings, Jr.; sisters, Lurene Patterson and Connie Holland.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Rhodes and husband Sutton; son, Rocky Murray; sister, Jackie Leech and husband Mark; grandchildren, Renee Moss, Brandy Murray, Melissa Cruz, Krista Murray; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Bessemer City with Rev. Dick Whitener officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Interment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
