FERN BUSLER QUEEN

Fern Busler Queen, 81, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Gastonia, NC. She was born May 6, 1933, in Newport, TN, to the late James Ralph and Nora Grindstaff Busler.

In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Douglas Queen; daughter, Donna O'Connor; grandson, Chris Queen; granddaughter, Katie Queen; brothers, James Busler, Jr. and Earl Busler; sisters, Frone Davis and Marie B. Berrong.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Roger D. Queen and wife Tammy of Santo, Texas, Dennis Queen of Charlotte, Ronnie Queen and wife Vikki of Gastonia, De'Etta Queen Matthews of Shallotte, NC; grandchildren, Harmony Carpenter, Angela Caldwell, Kristina Brown, Andrew Queen, Candace Matthews, Ericca Matthews, Taylor Matthews, Zachary Matthews; also a number of great grandchildren.

Fern was a member of East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain. Her family wishes to express their appreciation to Lincoln Hospice for their professional and loving care given to Fern.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain and on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2:00 -3:00 pm before the service at the church.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the church with Rev. Scott Whitney and Rev. Mike Criswell officiating. .

Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Gastonia
