FRANCES  "CHRIS"  GARRIS



Frances "Chris" Drennan Garris, 92, of Gastonia, passed away at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia on December 21, 2012.  She was born January 14, 1920 in Haywood County to the late Howard and Fannie Brackett Drennan.



She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Radford of Gastonia, Joyce Cotter of Hampstead, NC and Linda Parker of Ranlo; brothers, Rev. James Drennan of Gastonia and Jerry Drennan of Belmont; sisters, Elizabeth Purser of Burbank, CA and Dorothy Parker of Iron Station; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her husband J. B. Garris; son Roger Drennan; brothers Howard Drennan, Jr. and Bob Drennan; sister Sue Beall.



Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City with the Revs. James Drennan and Dennis Bean officiating.



Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.



The family will receive friend's Wednesday, 7:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home.
