Shelby, North Carolina

Frank C. White, 83, of Shelby, left this world on Saturday July 11, 2015 and entered Heaven's Gate, into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on January 11, 1932 in Shoal Creek, North Carolina to the late Roy Lee and Elsie Gibson White.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Jo White; and two sisters, Marie French and Louise Sneed.

Mr. White is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Pamela Braswell White; his children, Frankie Perdue, Richard White, Michael White, Wayne White, Cheryl Pendleton, Scott White, Karon Graves, Billy White, and Phillip Braswell. Mr. White is also survived by multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Thomas, Faye Pendleton, Betty Beaty; brother, Tommy White.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Staff Sgt. from the United States Air Force in 1969. He was a member of New Bethel Church in Shelby, NC. Frank was known as "The Candy Man" to many children. He loved to see their smiles.

His funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at New Bethel Church, Shelby NC with Pastor Mark Patchett officiating.

The visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, North Carolina, with full Military Honors given by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations may be made to New Bethel Church, 706 Hamrick Street, Shelby North Carolina 28150.
