Franklin Monroe Boltin, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was born in Charleston, S.C. on October 6, 1944 to the late Marion Monroe and Annie Ruth Stephens Boltin.
Franklin was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Bessemer City. He was an employee of Salem Carriers for Freightliner Inc.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Sylvia Coley Boltin; son, Roger Franklin Boltin and wife Merrie Ann of Greensboro, NC; daughter, Aleta West and husband Boyd Dean West Bessemer City; his grandchildren, Franklin Evan West, David Martin West, Megan Elizabeth West, and Michael Roger West.
A memorial service, to celebrate Mr. Boltin's life, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Bessemer City First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Wes Brown officiating.
Military honors will be rendered by Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard immediately following the service at the church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Wednesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.
